Steven Henseler, DDS has built two offices for his orthodontic practice and is currently expanding the first. In each, his goal has been to create an environment that is playful and rich with color and texture. While he includes areas specifically for kids, he wants the overall impression to be one that adults can appreciate.

Jim and Diane Strapko have responded with an interior architecture of curved walls, columns, and “cloud” soffits. An artist is brought in to texture and paint walls and soffits using colors Diane has coordinated with the other interior finishes, furnishings, and equipment. In lieu of framed pictures, the artist paints abstract art directly onto walls using stencils and freehand techniques. The result is an office that is light-hearted in an artful way that appeals to young as well as adult patients.
