The Oral Surgery Center is an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice operated by Dr. Steve Rodenburg, Dr. Riad Youssef, and Dr. Luke MacMenamin. Site selection and building renovation for their Cottage Grove relocation was handled by Dr. Rodenburg. He selected from several options in the target neighborhood, choosing an existing vacant children’s day care center for renovation. The developed site and existing building shell offered the best value and shortest timeline for completion. Jim Strapko assisted Dr. Rodenburg in assessing development potential of site and building and coordinated preliminary review by City agencies. Dr. Rodenburg’s team of architect and contractor obtained approvals and promptly completed renovation of site and building shell.

Dr. Youssef worked with Diane Pahl Strapko to design the office interior. They choose a pallet of finishes that includes rich colors and high quality materials but only for key places in the office. They concentrated on creating a quiet, comforting atmosphere for seating and consultation areas. The color scheme is carried throughout the office in materials appropriate for diagnostic and treatment functions.
